Is it bad to put oil free cream on acne?

No, not at all! In fact, it's very important to moisturize well when you have acne. If you don't moisturize, your skin will get too dry and produce oil to compensate, and then you'll end up with more acne. Everybody should moisturize. Is it bad to put oil free cream on acne?
Try Crisco, it works like a dream.

Expiriences whilst using Accutane- acne treatment...good or bad...?

I've heard loads of stories about it- half of them say it's an evil drug with disastrous side-effects and half say it is amazing an works really well.

Has anyone had any expiriences- good or bad?

I am thinking about trying it but I'm not sure...

All answers will be very appreciated! :)Expiriences whilst using Accutane- acne treatment...good or bad...?
It worked wonders to get rid of my acne, but I had severe sensitivity to the sun for about 3 months after I stopped taking it (and all while I was on it). It literally felt like the sun was burning me, just from sitting in the sunshine. Also, I had a small spot of cancerous cells removed from my upper shoulder... It could be related, or it could be just bad genes, but I was only 25....Expiriences whilst using Accutane- acne treatment...good or bad...?
I used it and it was great. Just know there are different levels that you can possible take. I was lucky because my older bro had worse acne than I did so when I started to break out a little bit in high school I went immediately to the dermatologist as got start on a very low dose of accutane. I was on once a week at about 10MG's I believe. Another friend of mine was taking it twice a day at 50mg because his acne was that bad. So just keep in mind there are so many different levels that can be prescribed. The main thing is you can only clear up so much acne by washing your face. Most acne is caused under the skin and thats why medication is need in some form to really clear up acne. I never had issue with being outside. Just make sure to wear sunscreen if your outside a lot but you should be wearing sunscreen no matter what.
I tried many treatments from my dermatologist. Ammoxicillan seems to work for me. I took accutane for a while. I feel that it shouldn't be taken unless you have tried the many options out there. Accutane is a very strong drug. For example, it can cause birth defects. When I was on it I suffered from dried chapped lips, dry bloody nose, my knees would hurt, my skin was dry and itchy. And about a month in my treatment I started to feel a sharp painful stabbing pain in my right side, where my liver is. I didn't know what was wrong. I thought something was going to burst. I could feel my organ pulsating like it was severely irritated. I went to urgent care and they didn't know what was wrong. So I was then sent to emergency. They did an ultrasound and blood tests. I remember something being high in my blood due to the drug and the ultrasound showed an inflamed liver. It turns out accutane caused me to develop drug induced hepatitis. I was removed off the drug and am fine. Yesterday, I was diagnosed with kidney stones. They say the pain from kidney stones is worse than the pain a woman feels when giving birth. And it really did hurt, I'm unsure if accutane caused this though. But I think you really need to think this through. And when I was on accutane, my acne got worse. I developed cystic acne, which left scars and dents on my face. I don't think it was worth it. I still break out but not as bad as when I was on this drug. My face is pretty clear now with my antibiotics. And I'd also like to inform you that if you do take accutane, they draw blood from you regularly to check up on you.
I've reported Princi Q three times today in the Beauty section...anyone else reporting them? It's spam and they need to stop!

Now for your answer... I've heard of it, never tried it myself. I have a couple friends who have used it and said it was so-so but they're still looking for something better. Everyone's different though, ya never know it might work great for you!
yes

i did use it.. my dermotologist put me on Accutane for about 6 months

and believe me it work wonders!

i was really happy with the results

it not only stops further breakouts, but also reduces the redness

and the side-effect could be that it causes dryness on lips and on ur skin

but thats alright, that can be treated using a good mosturizer for example Cetaphil

good luck

i highly recommend these pills
I had bad, bad, bad kidney stones. I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy so very painful!

Acutane; for acne. Good or bad idea?

  • My acne is getting worse and its not even showing any good signs?

well i have been going to a skin doctor since September, i have a 2 skin doctor, and still seeing the 2nd one. i still get zits every week, the zits i have do not go away. i take the pills, i apply the cream. what else could it be cause i find it so stupid, how these doctors are not helping me when they are giving me stuff that is suppose to work. is like every acne cream out there just make acne worse and not better at all?My acne is getting worse and its not even showing any good signs?
When I was seeing a dermatoligist for acne (15 years ago), I was told it may get worse before it gets better because the meds need time to work. But, if you feel like that's not the case, talk to your Dr. You may need more potent creams and pills. My brother had really bad acne and in the end had to take Accutane. You should talk to your Dr. about different options. My acne is getting worse and its not even showing any good signs?
i use clineque %26amp; it is the by far best skin care system ive ever used.

i used to have discusting acne, and i was about to see a deratologist, but i tried clineque at a mall %26amp; its really amazing. i have no acne at all. my face is bright and clear (knock on wood). %26amp; sometimes i switch it up and use different stuff.

but my acne is easy to get rid of. but i insist that you try for clineque.%26amp; tell me if you try%26amp; get results!!

-also when you wash your face, pat it dry. dont rub the water off.

    -try a tomatoe mask too
I think you are not following the proper guidelines. Acne is not a big problem if you follow some simple guidelines.

    1. Just wash your face as many times a day.

    2. Apply mint extract before going to bed and wash it off in the morning.
A lot of it is in practical steps, like NEVER touching your face, and periodically washing your pillowcase. Using a wash cloth on your face, basically any skin to skin contact helps spread oil and acne

Acne mostly gone but bad skin texture?? Also want my skin to glow!! [pics included]?

got rid of acne but my skin texture is horrible please answer the following questions

    1. i heard exfoliating works really well how long will it take?? i been using it for about 2 weeks 2-4 times a week.

    2. How do i make my skin glow??

http://i9.tinypic.com/7wkcmyv.jpgAcne mostly gone but bad skin texture?? Also want my skin to glow!! [pics included]?
Teenage is synonymous with all those dark red grotesque pimples. So much so that 1/10th of the advertising airtime is spent on products dedicated to a clear skin. Every major cosmetic company has one 鈥榮kin care鈥?鈥?the new buzz word is nourishment 鈥?product in his bag. In my many years of experience as a beautician I have seen that many young girls land up with a bad skin mostly because they are ignorant of the basic care required. In fact many women in their 30鈥檚 don't even know their skin type. All they know is that it is 鈥榥ot good鈥?

Having perfect skin is not at all a major achievement. Here is how to go about it. At this point let me clarify that this article is not intended only for the fairer sex. With the rough tough male paying more and more attention to his looks now, it includes him too.

How to get that perfect glow?

Keep It Simple. Too many products can irritate and too many steps may tempt you to skip care won't do it.

Keep It Gentle. Scrubbing and over drying leaves skin rough and red. Like, don't fight with your face.

You cant change your skin you can only make the best of it. Remember this and go on.

    Identify your skin type

Each skin type has its own set of do鈥檚 and don鈥檛s. First get to know your skin type and then decide on a regime specific to it. Each week I will deal with a different skin type. This week I begin with the most common of them all the oily skin.

Oily Skin 鈥?How to identify it?

Has a shiny look and looks oily within an hour after you cleanse it. Try this simple test. Wash your face thoroughly and dry it with a towel. Don鈥檛 apply any lotion or powders. If your face looks shiny and oily within an hour, you have an oily face. In an oily skin type, the oil is visible right through the make-up, especially in the T-zone. Don鈥檛 despair. One advantage of having an oily skin is that it ages very late. You can be confident that you won't see those tell tale wrinkles till you hit your late fifties.

    Cleanse

Use gel, liquid cleanser or an oily-skin cleansing bar no more than two or three times per day- morning, night and after school or sports. Over-washing won't stop oil flow, but it can irritate skin.

    Tone

A salicylic acid formula once or twice a day helps reduce oil and keep pores clear.. (One to try: Clean %26amp; Clear Oil Controlling Astringent.) Apply with a cotton ball, concentrating on T-zone-forehead, nose and chin. A toner will close up all the pores opened during the cleansing process.

    Moisturize

Choose an oil-free, non-comedogenic (non-clogging) formula. Dot on drier areas only-around eyes, on cheeks-and gently blend. If skin looks or feels slick or oily, you've overdone it!

    Troubleshoot

Apply a 5 percent Benzoyl Peroxide cream or a salicylic acid formula to breakout-prone places to prevent blemishes. Are zits more than an occasional occurrence? Skip to ';Blemish-Prone'; for more clear-up info. A clay mask once or twice a week helps dry up oil and remove dead surface cells. Creamy cleansing grains get a twice-a-week OK.

    Makeup

A water-based, oil-blotting formula minimizes shine. Sheer paper face blotters remove oil and leave makeup intact. Invest in a blotting blush and powder too

    Dry Skin

    How to Identify It?

Feels tight and dry after cleansing. Cold weather and/or dry air makes it rough and flaky.

    Cleanse

A moisturizing cleanser or cleansing bar should leave skin feeling clean, fresh and smooth without dryness. Use a soothing formula twice a day.

    Tone

Gently sweep non-alcohol toner over skin with a cotton ball. (If even mild toners dry and irritate, skip this step.)

    Moisturize

Opt for a creamy formula rather than one labeled ';oil-free.'; Extra assistance-alpha-hydroxy acids help smooth and exfoliate while ingredients such as vitamin E, aloe and panthenol soothe. (Check labels.) Apply while skin's still damp after cleansing to seal in moisture. But dot and blend; don't glop it on. Skin should feel fresh and moist, not greasy!

    Troubleshoot

Use a salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide cream to spot-treat any blemishes. A moisturizing mask once a week exfoliates and smoothes. All but the creamiest grains over-dry.

    Make Up

A moisturizing foundation helps protect and soften and delivers the smoothest coverage. Just add cream blush.

    Extra Advice

If skin's super dry, you may prefer to tissue off cleanser rather than rinse.

Easy, the thing that works very well in making your skin glow is Topical Ascorbic-Acid ( not lemon juice coz it is citric acid).

it is backed up by science and several peer reviewed studies. check out http://www.acnetreatmentlab.com for more info

The way i see it you are doing something wrong with your treatment regimen. if you want to remove acne scars, exfoliation by means of AHA or Salicylic acid should be followed by topical application of copper peptide or vitamin-C. read the ';scar treatment'; section of the site above for more info.
I keep it simple I use a a products called Skinsuccess Brightening Facial Mask twice a week. Then I use a microdelivery peel once a week to help the texture of my skin become smoothes. Find products that has alpha hydroxy and glycolic in it because this are great exfoliaters to help congested skin. Then use a moisturizer everyday to hydrate the skin. Neutrogena has two moisturizer you can try Advanced solutions skin transforming complex or Illuminating Whip moisturizer.

Should they should ban PE and JROTC from high schools because its makes kids acne worse because of the hot sun

Should they should ban PE and JROTC from high schools because its makes kids acne worse because of the hot sun. Also should they ban school teams like football, soccer, baseball etcShould they should ban PE and JROTC from high schools because its makes kids acne worse because of the hot sun
I wouldn't just cancel it because of acne. I mean acne is not contagious or life-threatening. I doubt the school boards will pity the kids because of that.Should they should ban PE and JROTC from high schools because its makes kids acne worse because of the hot sun
it helps acne?? cool! and y would the school boards care about that? and if they had no physical activities, everyone would be obese! and on top of that, I LUV SOCCER! and so many ppl luv sports, so if the majority luv sports, y would they stop it just cuz 1 person doesnt like sports? hullo!
um, the sun helps acne actually...
    No, That'd be stupid.

PE, is a required class. Plus, hot sun... oh well deal with acne. Buy some proactiv.
    No
The Hot sun actually cures the acne.

I think everyone should have PE all year every year, and as far as the JROTC and sports.......................

Sure lets stop that too so all teens will be obese.
Would you rather have acne that would go away? Or more overweight?
no, we have a lot of overwieght kids out there, plus i love pe and i dunno what jrotc is
NO! a lot of kids LOVE PE and sports! and also we have a LOT of fat kids!
