Is antibacterial soap bad or good for acne?

i use safeguard soap on my face because i have alot pimplesIs antibacterial soap bad or good for acne?
It's good, BUT won't give you a TOTAL treatment.

What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.Is antibacterial soap bad or good for acne?
a tea tree soap or aveeno.
Don't use soap on your skin! That will dry your skin out (which causes more zits) and clog your pores (which, again, causes more zits). Try a face wash specifically made for the face. I'd recommend Cetaphil's line of face washes. They have products for oily, normal, dry, and sensitive skin. If Cetaphil is too expensive ($10 for a big bottle), then there are usually always knock-off brands in the same area. Compare ingredients; usually they are exactly the same. I use the WalMart knock-off that's made for sensitive skin, and it's really nice. All the best!
you shouldnt be using soap at all! thats gunna dry your skin too much. my daughter had a bad case of pimples and we tried everything, pro active has been the only product that has worked for her. give it a try if you can afford it. good luck.
