you should be drinking that much anyway :-) Try out proactiv. I have heard nothing but good things about it, and their company is always running specials when you order. If neutrogena doesn't work for you, you definitely need something designed for severe acne. Just don't pick at them. This will leave scars.
Drinking water will help in eliminating toxins. Lime juice, tomato slices, home made packs can be used for treating acne. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for pimples at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html

hina
i dont know if it will clear all your acne up .. but it will deffinatly make your skin seem clearer ans cleaner and clear up some spots .. try to avoid fatty foods like fry ups and burgers to as fat blocks your pores and causes acne to start xx hope this helped
It will help a little, but be careful not to over due it. Drinking more than a gallon of water a day can actually dehydrate you.
water wont dramatically change the condition of your skin, but yes it will help.

here are some tips to help your acne:

1) dont touch your face because oils will be transmitted to it from your hand- oils that shouldnt be there

2) only wash your face two times a day (morning and night) unless you really have to wash it again because of a makeup problem or something, becasue washing strips your skin of its oils, which causes your body to produce more oils on your face. this is obviously bad for your skin. so instead of cleansing every time you're oily, try a product like clean%26amp;clear oil absorbing sheets ($5, drugstores).

3)use a three-step system (for example, i use proactive). i spoke to my dermatologist about and she said that just about any three step system like proactive will work as long as you use it faithfully every morning and night. sometimes i skip the third step (the repairing lotion) in the morning if im going to be shopping and trying on clothes because it can stain your clothing. the second step might tingle or sting for a minute, but this is supposed to happen- it doesnt mean that its too strong. every third night i use a prescriptoin medication called differin instead of the repairing lotion. my acne was getting worse and worse about a month ago but its almost competely clear now that im using proactive and differin.

4) moisturize your skin. i wait at least fifteen minutes to put on my moisturizer after cleansing and applying my medication. i have very sensitive skin and it gets very dry, so i have to use something gentle and at the same time strong. try either purpose moisturizer or cetaphil moisturizer (both available at drugstores and some grocery strores like super giant). they're both great for all skin types, which not all moisturizers labled for all skin types do. they're very gentle so they work on sensitive skin. but they're also strong enough to take care of dryness, which some gentle moisturizers dont do.

5) if you use concealer use something with salicylic acid so that it will treats your blemishes as well as cover them.

6)choose non-comodegenic (means that it doesnt clog your pores) makeup

7) to hide redness use a powder like:

a)physician's formula face-aid (drugstores, $13

b)benefit's bluff dust (benefitcosmetics.com or sephora

stores, $22)

c)mario badescu's special healing powder- this one may

be the best for you (mariobadescu.com, $12)

i hope this help!

good luck :)
