Help! Bad case of acne on teen boy!?

What works best for teen boys? My stepson has a bad case of acne, and he has tried Proactive and clearisil. Neither worked. Any suggestions?Help! Bad case of acne on teen boy!?

Has he ever been to the dermetologist? If not, he should see one. They can tell him exactly what type of acne he has and what products he should use. Most products that you can get without doctor advising hardly ever work the way we want them to.





Try benzoyl peroxide. It works fast to help clear and prevent new breakouts.
My 14 year old had really bad acne, but it greatly improved after adding a small amount of canola oil to his hash brown potatoes that he likes for breakfast. I use a store brand canola oil cooking spray and give the spuds a 5 second spraying after they are cooked.
has he seen a Dermatologist? There are lots of antibiotics that can be prescribed. My son had BAD skin when he was in High School. None of the antibiotics worked very well for him-so the doc prescribed Accutane. It has some serious issues, especially in females, and blood tests are required monthly. The most serious side effect is becoming pregnant while on this med.(not a concern with a son) Depression is also something to watch for but in my sons case, as the acne began to go away, he actually became happier.
