I know that foundation is bad for acne... but what about mineral foundation? PLEASE READ AND ANSWER!?

I know that foundation is bad for your face and acne and that it clogs up your pores...


Does mineral foundation do the same thing? I heard it was good for your face? Or does it worsen your acne like normal foundation does?





PS. This is a question about foundation!


Please don't start recommending any face crap to clear up my acne. ie. Drink plenty of water! Eat plenty of fruit! Wash your face daily! etc.. I do all of that all ready.

Depends .. Some Mineral Foundations contain natural ingredients that can irritate your face ( Boron Nitride, Magnesium Stearate, Bismuth ) ! Then again they make foundations that dont contain these ingredients that would be perfectly fine to use ..

I have been under a dermatologist care for 2 years and use medications on my face. I saw a huge improvement in my skin when I stopped using liquid foundations. I use Bare Minerals. It is the very best foundation and it doesn't clog pores. It also covers while still looking very natural and not so cakey or mask like. One jar is about $25 but it last a very long time. It just takes a little to do the job. Just be sure that you follow the directions when applying. Be sure not to use too much. (tap the brush!) It takes some practice to get it just right but I love it and it has helped my skin so much.
I have acne and I use mineral foundation, the brand I use is called Joppa Minerals.


It has actually been clearing up my acne!


So personally I think you could give it a try, because Its the only foundation that actually ';heals'; my acne.


Also, Joppa does NOT contain Bismuth, or any other irritant that can aggravate your acne, so I recommend that brand.


Its cheap considering youre getting ALOT of product.
just use a dot of concealer to hide the redness. do not overdue it or you will just worsen the clogged pore, and worsen your acne over all. find a concealer with salylic acid if you can to dry spots out while you conceal
you could try bare escentuals! IT WORKS GREAT! and mineral make up is good too. but also anyhting that isnt liquid foundation is good for u. like clinque powder concealer work amzingg
